/organisation/onboarding.
There are four steps. Each one shows its progress and remembers where you got to, so you can leave and come back.
1
Create your cluster
One click creates your organisation’s free cluster - a playground. Playgrounds are moving to Ankra Cloud dev clusters, a single-node Kubernetes cluster managed by Ankra; this is rolling out. The step shows the cluster provisioning, the domain your apps will be published under, and, for a free cluster, when it ends.If your organisation already has a playground, the step picks it up instead of creating a second one.
2
Unlock your credit
Click Add payment method to save a card. Saving it unlocks €249 of credit, valid for 60 days, which pays for your resources before anything is charged to the card.We recommend turning automatic top-up on in Billing once you are running something you care about: when your credit runs low it adds more, so your services keep running without a pause. See Credit and payment method for how credit is spent.Cards are handled by Stripe; Ankra never sees your card number. You can skip this step and come back to it, but without a card a free Ankra Cloud dev cluster lasts 24 hours.
You will never be charged without a top-up. Your card is only charged when you add credit yourself. Automatic top-up stays off unless you turn it on.
3
Choose where the website lives
Pick one:
- The Ankra default - no repository. Ankra deploys the generated site straight to your cluster as a Stack.
- A new GitHub repository - Ankra creates the repository in the GitHub account or organisation you choose (public or private), commits the site to it, and registers it as an application. Every push to the repository is built and deployed to your cluster. This option needs a GitHub connection.
4
Launch your website
Describe the website you want in one sentence - for example “a landing page for a neighbourhood bakery with opening hours and a contact form”. Ankra’s AI generates a complete, responsive site and deploys it to your cluster. The step follows the site through designing, deploying and live, then links to the public address and, if you chose a repository, to the code.
What you end up with
- A Kubernetes cluster managed by Ankra, with the Ankra agent installed and connected.
- A website served from that cluster at a public address under the cluster’s domain.
- With a repository: an application whose builds and deploys run on every push, the same way as any other application.
Good to know
- Website generation uses your organisation’s AI allowance. One website is generated at a time per organisation.
- Steps you cannot complete - for example adding a card without billing permissions - can be skipped. Ask a billing owner in your organisation to add the payment method.
- The free cluster is for development and evaluation. See Playground for its limits and how long it lasts.
