The Inbox is your personal worklist across the whole organisation. Instead of hunting through clusters to find what needs attention, Ankra surfaces actionable items - AI sessions waiting on you, plans to approve, actions to confirm, failed steps, and drafts the AI has edited - in one live, ranked list that updates in real time.

What shows up in your inbox

Each item is ranked so the most pressing work rises to the top, and carries the context you need to act - the cluster, conversation, risk, and timestamps.

Live activity feed

The Inbox is backed by a live stream (server-sent events), so items appear, update, and clear without refreshing the page. The feed delivers an initial snapshot, then incremental diffs as items are added, change, or are resolved, plus periodic heartbeats. It also tracks recent activity - sessions completed, plans approved, and actions resolved - so you can see momentum at a glance.
The live feed limits how many concurrent connections a single user can hold. If you open the dashboard in many tabs at once, additional connections are rejected until others close.

Organisation messages and messages for you

A notification is addressed either to the whole organisation - a failed deployment, a firing alert - or to you personally, such as an agent reaching its daily token limit on a task you own or an answer only you were waiting for. Personal messages are visible only to their addressee and wear a For you marker in the feed; organisation messages reach every member, with reading, acknowledging and dismissing tracked per person - one member clearing a card never clears it for the team. Filter the Activity page by audience (All messages / For you / Organisation), and the unread counts split out what is addressed to you personally.

Dismissing and snoozing

Not everything needs action right now. Dismiss an item to clear it, or snooze it until a chosen time - it returns to the inbox when the snooze expires. You can restore a dismissed item at any time.

How inbox cards clear

A failed operation and the card asking you to look at it are two different records. The operation stays in the cluster’s history as failed for good (see Find out why a deploy failed and retry it); the card is the part that clears:
  • On their own. Ankra re-checks open cards about once a minute. A failed-operation card resolves once the most recent run of that same operation on that cluster has succeeded; a card about a platform resource resolves when that resource’s latest step succeeds or the resource is gone; a GitOps failure card resolves once the cluster reports itself in sync again. Resolved cards move to Recently resolved on the Activity page.
  • By hand. Acknowledge a card to record that you have seen it, or dismiss it to clear it from your list. Both are tracked per person, so clearing a card never clears it for a colleague.
So a cluster that has recovered shows an empty or short Open section on the Activity page, while its operations history still lists every failed attempt from the rollout. Acknowledging, dismissing and snoozing are portal actions: API tokens cannot reach the inbox. The token API covers the operations themselves, including cancel and retry - see the API Reference.

Recent drafts

Ankra keeps a list of the stack drafts you’ve worked on recently, so you can jump back into in-progress work. Each entry shows the cluster, stack, when it was last touched, whether it has AI edits, and any co-editors (including the AI) collaborating on it.

Preferences

Tailor your dashboard from preferences:
  • Pinned clusters - keep the clusters you care about most at the top.
  • Widget layout - show, hide, and arrange dashboard widgets.
